Age Limit

(i) Candidates born between 02/01/1988 and 01/01/2006 (both dates inclusive) are eligible to apply.

(ii) Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes candidates born between 02/01/1983 and 01/01/2006 (both dates inclusive) are eligible to apply.

(iii) Other Backward Classes candidates born between 02/01/1985 and 01/01/2006 (both dates inclusive) are eligible to apply.

(iv) Candidates who are members of the High Court Service working in categories with pay scales below that of Assistant, born between 02/01/1984 and 01/01/2006 (both dates inclusive), are eligible to apply. Candidates claiming age relaxation under this clause will compete solely on merit and will be considered for open competition vacancies only.

(v) Ex-servicemen, ex-General Reserve Engineer Force personnel, or disembodied Territorial Army personnel can exclude their service period and the period of unemployment on discharge, up to a maximum of five years, provided they have not reached the age of 50.

(vi) Candidates belonging to Blindness, Low Vision, Deafness, and hard of hearing categories are eligible for age concession of up to 15 years, and candidates with other disabilities can avail a concession of up to 10 years, provided their age does not exceed 50 years.

(vii) Widows are eligible for a relaxation of up to 5 years, with the condition that their age does not exceed 50 years.

Educational Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks OR a Master’s Degree OR a Law Degree from any of the Universities in Kerala. Desirable: Proficiency in Computer Operations.

Note: (i) Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks to be eligible for the position. Rounding off to the nearest integer is not allowed (e.g., 49.5% cannot be rounded off to 50%). SC/ST candidates are exempt from the requirement of minimum 50% marks in the Bachelor’s Degree.

(ii) If CGPA/OGPA or letter grades are awarded in the qualifying examination, the equivalent percentage of marks should be indicated in the application form as per norms adopted by the University/Institute. Candidates must obtain a certificate from the University/Institute validating this conversion, which will be required during certificate verification.

(iii) Candidates must have obtained all the qualifications before the closing date of the online application. The date mentioned on the mark sheet or provisional certificate issued by the University/Institute will be considered as the date of passing the eligibility examination.

Fees

The application fee is ₹500/- (Rupees Five hundred only). However, Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/Unemployed Differently Abled candidates with benchmark disabilities are exempted from paying the application fee. Candidates can make the payment using the system-generated Fee Payment Challan or online through Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking, following the instructions on the screen. Any bank transaction charges incurred for payment of the application fee, if applicable, will be the responsibility of the candidate.

How to Apply

(i) Before applying for the post, candidates must complete ‘One Time Registration’ using the ‘One Time Registration Login’ link on the website www.hckrecruitment.keralacourts.in. The steps for ‘One Time Registration’ are provided in the ‘How to apply’ link on the website. Candidates should carefully read the notification and ‘How to apply’ instructions before submitting the online application. They should also have scanned images of their photograph and signature, as well as details of their qualifications, ready.

(ii) After entering the required details in ‘My Profile’, candidates can apply for the post from the ‘Apply Now’ section in the ‘Dashboard’ and follow the instructions on the screen. Candidates must ensure that the details entered are correct by checking the preview of the application before submission. Once submitted, no changes or modifications can be made to the application.

(iii) Payment of the application fee, if applicable, is the final stage of the application process. In cases where an application fee is required, incomplete applications without payment will not be considered for the selection process. Online and offline payment methods are available. For online payment, candidates should follow the detailed steps provided in the ‘How to Apply’ link and ensure successful payment, even if they receive a confirmation message from the bank. For offline payments, candidates can download the challan from the website, and the timeline for offline payments will be as specified in the notification. Candidates must retain a copy of the paid challan for future reference.

(iv) Payment of the fee by demand draft, cheque, money orders, postal orders, etc., will not be accepted. Once paid, the fee will not be refunded or reserved for any other examination. Candidates are advised to review the terms and conditions and payment policies available on the payment page of the website.

(v) Candidates should print out the application for future reference. They are not required to send the printout of the online application or any other documents to the High Court.
